Request a private assessmentThe choice depends on two things: how much area has lost density, and how much of your own hair is left around it to hide the edge. A piece smaller than needed leaves the perimeter showing. One larger than needed covers healthy hair, weighs more and asks for more maintenance than necessary.
It covers a specific area: the parting, the crown, the front or the temples. It rests on your own hair, which keeps coming through around and over the edge. It is the usual choice for women, where it is called a topper, and also for men when the loss is concentrated at the front.
It covers the whole top of the head, from the hairline to the crown. This is the option when the loss is extensive and there is no longer enough density on top to hide the edge of a partial piece. It does not cover the sides or the back: your own hair stays there.
Not from a catalogue and not over the phone. At the consultation we measure the area on your head, look at the hair left around it and try it. If you are right between the two, starting with the partial is usually best: it is easier to live with and it can always be extended later.

Yes, and that is the usual path when loss progresses. Each piece is made to the area as it is at that moment, so changing is not a problem.
No. It covers the top, from hairline to crown. The sides and back stay your own hair, and that is exactly what the perimeter blends into.
Neither on its own. What shows is a badly hidden edge, a flat colour or a density that is not yours. With the surface measured properly, both go unnoticed.
Partial usually is: it weighs less and comes off daily. But if the area is large, forcing a partial ends up worse — the edge shows and has to be covered with styling.
Yes, because the surface and the amount of hair change. For women it starts at €250 for a small piece; for men, full systems start at €390. The final figure is confirmed at the consultation.
